Saudi Arabia-Morocco, Economics, 11/20/1999
The Moroccan-Saudi joint commission is meeting in Riyadh this weekend under the co-chairmanship of the Moroccan and saudi foreign ministers, Mohamed Benaissa and Prince Saud Al-Faysal.
Debates will focus on economic issues and will seek to deepen the relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries.
Benaissa arrived in Riyadh earlier today.
In 1997, Morocco's exports to Saudi Arabia --phosphoric acid, agri-food products and handicraft items-- totalled $ 78.75 million, while imports from the Saudi kingdom --non-organic chemical products, artificial fibers, household appliances and oil-- were worth $ 45 million.
