UNHCR deputy commissioner starts work visit in Maghreb

UNHCR deputy commissioner Soren Jessen Petersen is due this Saturday in Algiers, the first leg of a five-day tour in the region to take him to Tindouf, Laayoun and Rabat.
HCR spokesman said here Friday Petersen will be assessing progress made in preparations for repatriation of Sahrawi refugees as provided for by the United Nations Organization Sahara settlement plan.
