Morocco becomes a member of IMO board

Morocco has become a member of the Board of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) currently convening its 21st general assembly in London. The election, said transport minister Mansouri, is recognition by the international maritime community of Morocco's maritime leading role at the African, Arab and Mediterranean levels.
It is also approval of the kingdom's policy in promoting seamen living standards, navigation security and sea and ocean protection, the minister said.
