Abdul Meguid to head to Damascus next month

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid will head to Damascus on December 4 for a three-day visit, during which he will meet with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa and high-ranking Syrian officials.
Arab League sources stated today that Abdul Meguid's meetings with the Syrian officials will tackle the peace process developments and informing Syria of the support of the Arab states for Syria's refusal to give up any piece of the occupied Syrian lands.
The sources added that Abdul Meguid will inform the Syrian officials about the results of his communications with international officials regarding the Iraqi - Syrian conflict with Turkey concerning the waters of the Degla and Euphrates.
