Italian NGOs support projects in northern Morocco

A group of Italian non-governmental organizations have initiated a program to support handicraft activities and traditional fishing in the Moroccan northeastern town of Nador.
The first project worth $1.15 million will run over three year to support handicraft activities, through the promotion of vocational training and local products and the improvement of the craftsmen's living standard.
The second project, valued at some $1.9 million to which Italy is contributing 50%, consists of supporting a fishing village to be launched end of this month, through extending micro-loans to fishermen.
