Lebanese resistance retaliates for Israeli attacks

On Wednesday evening the Lebanese resistance renewed its attacks on positions and patrols of the Israeli forces and their South Lebanon Army militia agents inside the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said that one of its groups attacked Israeli military fortifications inside the occupation position in Belad in the western sector. The statement added that direct hits were achieved.

Other Lebanese resistance groups attacked the Israeli occupation positions in Rashaf, Sweida and al-Hardoun.

In another statement, the Lebanese resistance said the main fortifications of the position were destroyed, and several Israeli soldiers were killed or wounded.

Later in the day, the Lebanese resistance destroyed an Israeli armored vehicle driving on Beaufort road.

It was also on Wednesday when the Lebanese resistance launched a series of operations against the Israeli occupation forces and their agents in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement the Lebanese resistance said one of its groups attacked a position manned by Israeli forces and their agents in al-Sweida, using machine guns and rockets. The attack resulted in killing and wounding the occupants of the position, it said.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces bombarded several populated areas. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery positioned in al-Zaffata shelled the hills and heights of al-Tuffah district, especially Arab Salim. Also bombarded were the heights of al-Rafe ' mountain, al-Zahrani river area, Jarjou and Ein Buswar.

The Israeli shelling was accompanied by heavy machine gun fire that targeted the roads that link al-Tuffah district to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Israeli warplanes intensively flew over the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and its suburbs, especially over the airport areas, carrying out mock and provocative raids.

The Israeli warplanes deployed thermal balloons to avoid Lebanese anti-aircraft fire. The Israeli airplanes continued intensive flights over the areas of the occupied south and the western Bekaa.
