Sheikh Jaber of Kuwait confers with Ruler of Bahrain

An official round of talks was held on Wednesday in Kuwait between the ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah, and the ruler of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al- Khaleifa, currently visiting Kuwait.

A statement released by the emir's palace said that the talks were held in a "friendly atmosphere of full understanding and the spirit of fraternity, all based on continued consultation and coordination between the two leaderships in the two sisterly countries."

Stress was laid on backing the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the interests, security and stability of the Arab Gulf states. In a press statement upon arriving at Kuwait's airport earlier in the day on a one-day official visit, Sheikh Hamad asserted that his visit to Kuwait will constitute another element in maintaining integration between the two states and in the joint efforts made by the two states to back the GCC's work activity.
