Sudan, Eritrea to revive joint security committee

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael has announced that the joint security committee between Sudan and Eritrea will once again resume its work.
In a press statement he made in Khartoum on Wednesday, the Sudanese minister said the Sudanese delegation will head within days to Asmara to discuss the issue of security with Eritrea.
He added that it was agreed to revive works of the joint committees, decided in the Doha agreement following successful contacts made by the leaders in Qatar and Libya.
Ismael stressed that his country's relations with Eritrea are strategic and that Sudan is careful to restore these relations to their natural position.
