Moroccan university signs agreements with French university and economic group

Moroccan university Al Akhawayn located in the Atlas mountain resort station of Ifrane signed here on Monday cooperation agreements with the French University Rene Descartes and French multimedia, telecoms and environment firm "Vivendi."

Under a three-year agreement, the Moroccan and French universities agreed to exchange faculty and students and cooperate in the teaching of French and the use of new communication and information technologies. They will also promote joint research programs and publications and hold colloquia and seminars.

The Al Akhawayn university, the sole private English-speaking university in Morocco, will cooperate with the French Vivendi group in fields of multimedia and environment research. Students and teachers from the university will attend training sessions in the French group.
