Yemeni president meets Hawatemah

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Tuesday in Sanaa met with the secretary general of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Nayef Hawatemah.
The Yemeni news agency Saba said the two men talked about "developments in the Palestinian arenas, the Middle East peace process and the efforts made to unify the Palestinian ranks."
The DFLP opposes the Israel- Palestinian self-rule agreements. It has recently asked Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to halt negotiations with Israel.
