Colloquy on Jews in Portugal, Spain, Morocco

"Sephardi Jews between Portugal, Spain and Morocco" is the theme of a three-day colloquy to open doors this Tuesday in Lisbon with experts from the three countries attending.
The colloquy, attended by advisor to King Mohammed VI Andre Azoulay, is sponsored by the Portuguese Association for Judaism Studies.
The encounter will focus on the expulsion of Jews from the Iberian peninsula between 1492 and 1496 and their return to Portugal as of 1819.
Participants will debate Jews' economic, social and cultural activities in Portugal and their popular cultures.
