Arafat meets Dennis Ross

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat discussed with the US coordinator for the Middle East peace process, Dennis Ross, means of pushing forward final status negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians and of implementing the obligations of the transitional stage. The talks, which took place last night in the West Bank city of Ramallah, tackled the Palestinian - Israeli dispute regarding the areas of the second Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank called for in the Sharm El-Sheikh accord. Palestinian sources said the Palestinian president informed Ross of Israel's procrastination in delivering the special maps of the Palestinian lands.
