Moussa confirms the correlation of the Syrian and Lebanese tracks
Egypt, Politics, 11/15/1999
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said Egypt rejects the continuous Israeli attempts to seperate the Lebanese and Syrian tracks, saying existing relations between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Syrian President Hafez al-Assad and the officials in the two states are continuous and are an example to be followed in Arab relations. He emphasized the importance of Israel's withdrawal from the Syrian Golan Heights, describing the US role in the peace process as very important and he rejected the Israeli policy to exclude the US from the negotiations, saying that this is a wrong policy that threatens the peace process.
