Boutaflika meets with Saudi envoy

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika met on Saturday with a Saudi envoy amid news that Riyadh is making mediation to bridge relations between Algeria and Morocco.

The Algerian News Agency reported that President Bouteflika met with the advisor for the Saudi crown prince, Ali Bin Muslim, after he arrived in Algiers, and the agency quoted the envoy as saying that he conveyed a message from Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah. No information was reported on the content of the message.

Arab diplomats in Algeria said the message pertains to Arab attempts to reform relations between Algiers and Rabat.
