Germany and Saudi Arabia discuss cooperation

Saudi Minister of Finance Abdul Aziz al-Asaf urged German businessmen to benefit from the opening of the doors of the Saudi economy and to invest in Saudi Arabia.
At the conclusion of the 13th German - Saudi conference he emphasized that his country is concerned with long-range investments in particular.
His German counterpart, Werner Mueller, said that Saudi Arabia is the most important commercial partner for Germany in the Arab states.
Germany's exports to Saudi Arabia in 1998 reached 4 billion German marks while the Saudi exports to Germany reached more than 1 billion marks, most of which are petroleum products.
