Mauritanian president receives invitation to visit Qatar

Mauritanian President Maaouya Ould Sid Ahmed Taya received a message from Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani includes a renewed invitation to visit Qatar.

Qatar's ambassador in Nouakchott, Mebrouk El-Mohanadi, who delivered the message yesterday to the Mauritania president, said that it also inlcudes means of supporting cooperation between the two states.

Bilateral relations between Qatar and Mauritania witnessed development due to Nouakchott's support of Doha in organizing the last economic conference for the Middle East and North Africa, in which Israel participated and which was boycotted by numerous Arab states.
