Egyptian Foreign Ministry warns Egyptians from traveling to Turkey without prior information
Egypt-Turkey, Politics, 11/13/1999

The travel guidance department in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry recommends that citizens traveling to Turkey and those searching for commercial opportunities to make sure of their information regarding the places they are heading to before the trip.

The department said that traveling to the countries of the European Union requires a visa to enter these countries, as there is a false belief that as soon as they travel to Turkey it will be easy to head to the countries which signed the Shingen agreement.

It said passengers from Turkey to the countries of the European Union submit to very accurate procedures, warning travelers to Turkey of the non-existence of real work opportunities because the Turkish market rejects the laborers and they can only travel to it for tourism.
