Morocco-Morocco, Politics, 11/13/1999

Moroccan Prime Minsiter Abderrahmane Youssoufi, flew this Saturday to Libya, where the bilateral high joint commission will convene its 4th session.

The Commission meeting, to be co-chaired by Youssoufi and Secretary of the Libyan General Popular Committee, Mohamed Ahmed Al-Mankouch, will debate ways to boost cooperation ties between the two Maghreban nations.

Both Morocco and Libya are member of the Arab Maghreb Union together with Algeria, Mauritania and Tunisia.

The Commission had held its third session in July, 1998 in Rabat. A series of cooperation accords in the fields of transport, tourism, administration and social affairs were signed at that time in addition to a memorandum of understanding on the creation of a free exchange area.
