Opening Carthage theatrical festival

The new session of the Carthage international theater festival started yesterday in Tunis. It will last for 10 days with the participation of 44 countries from all over the world for the first time since the festival started, as the participation in it was limited only to the Arab theatrical bands.
Opera Peking presented the opening show, and 18 Arab states will participate in the festival's competition, in addition to the participation of Arab foreign dramatists in the cultural activities which are being held on margins of the festival which is run by Tunisian theatrical critic Mohammed El-Madyouni.
Meanwhile, the first festival for children's theatre concluded yesterday in Carthage with the participation of 22 dramas from 11 Arab states. The symposium was held under the title "The theatre and the school."
