Israel agrees to land-for-peace with Palestinians

Israel has agreed that final status negotiations with the Palestinian Authority will be based on UN Security Council resolution 242 and the land-for-peace principle, CNN reported. Earlier in the week Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak had questioned resolution 242's applicability to the Palestinian territorities.
