Bouteflika urges support for African women's rights

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the current head for the Organization of African Unity, emphasized the importance of starting the third millennium with the African continent possessing a culture of peace, refusing armed conflicts, and putting off wars to establish stability and fight the continent's problems, which leads to its people's welfare.
In an address he delivered yesterday evening at the conclusion of a forum of African women for peace held in Algeria, he said, "The woman has an important and vital role out of her position in the family and society, and she is at the heart of the social cell and a future-maker for her love of peace and her adherence to providing a stable atmosphere."
He urged the African countries to work to provide right sof education, health care and food to build up Africa.
