Intensive Turkish preparations for receiving Clinton

Turkey is witnessing intensive preparations on the security and political levels days before receiving US President Bill Clinton in an official visit that is depicted by Turkish President Suleiman Demirel as being a turning point toward more support for the strategic relations between Ankara and Washington.
This came as the Turkish mass media hastened to show what president Clinton confirmed yesterday of the significance of the Turkish role in the coming stage due to its geographical location as a meeting point between the Caucasus, Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and the Balkans. They said that if Turkey could take its place as a democratic, Moslem and stable nation, this would mean a better future for everyone.
