France to establish five radar stations in Algeria
Algeria-France, Business, 11/11/1999
Algeria and France signed an agreement that calls for French companies to establish and run five radar stations at a cost of 5 billion Algerian dinars in order to improve aviation in Algeria, which owns the largest internal airlines among the Arab states.
Algerian Transportation Minister Sid Ahmed Boulil said after signing the agreement that this project is the first step in the framework of a plan to modernize the basic infrastructure for the Algerian transportation network.
He said that the costs of these stations will be presented by the national corporation for aviation in addition to the European Investment Bank, which presented financing worth 30 million euros for this project.
