Oman plans improvement in agriculture, fisheries

Omani Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Ahmed bin Khalfan al Rawahi said yesterday in an interview with Omani television that Oman has a five-year plan to improve its agriculture and fisheries sectors to contribute to the economy, Oman News Agency reported.
He added, "In my view the contribution would come first from the fisheries sector, then the grazing activities and the finally agricultural sector, all of which would cooperate to step up their growth rate," the report added.
