Mauritania's Union of Democratic Forces-New Era condemns relations with Israel

The opposition Union of Democratic Forces-New Era in Mauritania has strongly condemned the step taken by the government in Mauritania to establish diplomatic relations with Israel, stressing that this step was a violation of Arab consensus and AL decisions and a denunciation of Mauritania's identity, civilization and cultural heritage.

In a statement, the opposition party said that Mauritania's government's establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel is in defiance of the national feelings of the people of Mauritania, a denunciation of its national interests and an attempt to cover its history of violating human rights.
