Tunisia hosts Arab security plan meetings

The second annual conference of the committee in charge of following up on the third Arab security plan started in Tunisia on Wednesday. It was held in the framework of the general secretariat of the council of the Arab ministers of the interior.

In its meeting, the committee will discuss reports on three plans already adopted by the Arab ministers of the interior. These plans are the third Arab security plan in its second year, the Arab media plan for disseminating security awareness, and crime prevention in its second year.

Representatives of five Arab states, namely Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Algeria and Djibouti as well as a representative for the Arab Nayef Academy for Security Sciences are taking part in the three-day meeting.

The committee is expected to adopt recommendations that will be submitted to the next session of the Arab ministers of the interior council to be held in Algiers.
