King Abdullah II returned to Amman on Thursday following a two-day official visit to Qatar.
During his visit, the Jordanian king held talks with the ruler of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani, dealing with bilateral relations and means of developing and strengthening them, as well as issues of mutual concern.
In a cable he addressed to the ruler of Qatar following the visit, the Jordanian King stressed the importance of strengthening contacts between the Arab states' people and achieving economic integration among Arab states to support "common Arab work activity."
Meanwhile, Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh has asserted the importance of Arab backing to Syria and Lebanon in the Middle East peace talks.
In statements he made in Qatar on Wednesday, al-Rawabdeh added that the battle of peace needs, more than that of war, all the efforts of the Arab nation. He asserted the importance of having the Arab states' support for the Syrians and Lebanese to restore their rights and lands.
