First exclusive Saudi trade fair to be held in Tehran
Saudi Arabia-Iran, Economics, 11/10/1999
An exclusive Saudi trade exhibit will be held in Tehran next week, the first time ever that Riyadh has decided to present its products to the Iranian public and the business community.
The official news agency IRNA reported on Tuesday that some 200 Saudi businessmen representing 75 Saudi firms are expected to take part in the exhibit.
Iran in turn is expected to hold an exclusive trade fair in the Saudi city of Jeddah in february.
Ties between the two countries have steadily improved since Iran's moderate President Mohammad Khatami came to power in August 1997.
Khatami made a historic visit to Saudi Arabia last may.
