Medical schools on 48 hour strike in Rabat and Casablanca
Morocco, Economics, 11/10/1999
Local sections of the higher education union called for a 48-hour strike Wednesday and Thursday in the Rabat and Casablanca Pharmacy and medical schools.
A union release said no medical care or tutoring will be available and that all emergency admissions will be operating.
A general assembly convenes today and sit-ins will be observed in both schools.
The strike came to back grievances including work conditions, training and tutoring the university hospitals, fairness and transparency in management and decision-making.
