Expectations of congress' consent for additional aid to Jordan

High-ranking Jordanian diplomatic sources expected yesterday the consent of the US Senate on a draft resolution for additional aid to Jordan worth nearly $100 million.
The sources stated, "What happened lately regarding this aids was nothing but a dispute between the US administration and the congress, and Jordan has nothing to do with it." They added that in case of the congress' consent, the aid which was specified according to the Wye River Accord will be complete.
Washington undertook according to the Wye River Accord to present aid to the Palestinian and Jordanian authorities in the framework of supporting the peace process.
