Jordan confirms its support to the Palestinian government
Jordan-Regional, Politics, 11/10/1999

A high-ranking Jordanian official confirmed his country's full support for the Palestinian government in final status negotiations to reach the logical results of the peace process, which are represented in the Palestinian people's retaking of all their rights on their national territory and establishing an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The sources added that Jordan considers the Palestinian issue as the core of the conflict in the area and that the aspired peace will not be achieved without settling this case with a fair settlement.

The Jordanian official added that the Jordanian King, King Abdullah II, said regarding final status negotiations that the opportunity available now forms a historic chance to restore right and reach a settlement with which the coming generations can coexist.
