Palestinian opposition in Damascus to deal calmly with Abu al-Einin issue

Palestinian opposition sources said that Syria has, through the question of Sultan Abu al-Einin, sent a message to the other Palestinians in Lebanon on the need to perpetuate calm in the Lebanese internal arena.

The Palestinian opposition sources in Damascus added, "Syria is always for calmness in the Lebanese arena," and cited as an example that the question of Abu al-Einin came through the law, which means it is a message to other Palestinians in the camps on "the need to keep quiet and to preserve security."

The sources indicated that Abu al-Einin is "accused of leading a gang, according to the sentence adopted by the Lebanese court," a sentence which "opens the door before any Palestinian who behaves Abu al-Einin's way."

The same sources indicated that the chairman of the PLO political department, Farouk al-Qaddoumi, left Damascus unable to get any date with any Lebanese official to discuss the question of Abu al-Einin, adding, "This is also a joint Syrian-Lebanese message to the chairman of the PLO, Yasser Arafat, that he is not a master in the Lebanese arena."
