Official sources in the Algerian Ministry of Finance said yesterday that a cooperation program between Algeria and the World Bank is currently being prepared to finance development projects, saying that these projects are focused on the housing, irrigation and agriculture sectors. The sources said that cooperation between Algeria and the World Bank is limited to nine loans for projects that are implemented at a cost of $730 million, clarifying that $200 million of the total sum were specified for some projects. King Mohammed VI has sent a message to President Zine El Abidine Bin Ali of Tunisia. The message will be conveyed by Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Mohamed Benaissa, who arrived in Tunis on Monday evening. Go

Some 12 Indonesian companies are taking part in the 32nd Baghdad International Fair, from November 1 through 10. The US European Command said today that Iraqi anti-aircraft artillery located near Bashiqah fired on aircraft carrying out "routine flights" to enforce the northern Iraq "no-fly zone." It added, "Coalition aircraft responded by dropping ordinance on the integrated air defense system." Go
