Jordan express understanding to Mauritania's establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel

Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul al-Illah al-Khatib said Jordan understands Mauritania's decision to establish diplomatic relations with Israel, expressing Jordan's appreciation for Mauritania's support for the peace process in the Middle East.
He said in press statements after his meeting yesterday in Amman with Ahmed Ould Ahmed, the Mauritanian minister of foreign affairs, that Jordan understands and respects the right of the intimate countries to take the decisions that suit its interests and stance.
During his visit to Amman yesterday, the Mauritania minister conveyed a message to King Abdullah II of Jordan from Mauritanian President Maaouya Ould Taya.
