Ghali calls for British investment in Egypt
Egypt-UK, Economics, 11/9/1999

An Egyptian economic delegation started its visit to London under the chairmanship of Egyptian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Yousef Butros Ghali for a one-week visit in the framework of invigorating Egyptian exports to Western countries.

The delegation includes the chairman of the investment organization, Mohammed El-Ghamrawi, and 141 companies represented by 173 businessmen and delegates from different ministries to discuss the possibility of cooperation possibility in 15 service and international economic fields.

Before he left, Ghali said, "The visit comes in exchanging visits among businessmen in Egypt and the UK."

Ghali called on British firms to invest in Egypt. "The government encourages the new projects set up on the basis of B.O.T like the new power stations," he said. The delegation will also visit France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
