Emirates airlines increase Dubai-Jakarta flights
United Arab Emirates-Indonesia, Business, 11/9/1999

The recovery in Indonesian political and economic sectors has encouraged Emirates airlines to increase its flights on its Dubai-Jakarta route from three to four times a week, Indonesian news agency ANTARA reported.

The agency quoted Emirates country manager in Indonesia John Rotikan as saying that the decision to step up the flight frequency was to anticipate Indonesia's plan to increase trade ties with Middle East countries.

"Emirates flights from and to Jakarta have a loadfactor of around 70 percent," he said.

"The realization of good relations between the business communities of Indonesia and the Middle East will give more markets for Indonesian products. Emirates will help increase tourists coming to Indonesia as well," he said.

Emirates has recruited its cabin crew from 120 countries.
