US - Egyptian cooperation in repairing cemeteries of the pharaohs

Cooperation between Egypt and the USA is currently taking place in implementing a scientific archeological project to repair the royal caskets of the pharaohs, which is to start on March 1, 2000 in the cemetery of Ramses VI in the city of Luxor.
The project will be under the auspices of Dr. Irwin Broke, an expert from the US Research Center in Cairo.
An official source in the Supreme Council for Antiquities said, "The permanent committee of the Egyptian monuments agreed that other US projects make the repair work and the archeological discovery in some of the archeological areas as well as making a set of scientific studies."
The missions also included that mission of the US Research Center analyze in cooperation with the Egyptian Maintenance and Research Center stone samples of King Citi I cemetery in Wadi El-Melouk in Luxor in one of the specialized laboratories in Switzerland or Canada in preparation to repair the cemetery.
