Hamas warns of revenge campaigns against it
Palestine, Politics, 11/8/1999

The battalions of the Izz El-Din El-Kassam, the military wing of the Hamas movement, warned against launching revenging campaigns against it.

Israeli police sources said two persons were seriously injured and 18 were slightly injured due to three simultaneous explosions in Netanya and that the police worked on defusing four explosive devices that were placed near a large bank.

So far no front has announced its responsibility for the explosions, but the explosion's reasons were attributed to the anti-peace Islamic groups.

Sources in the Israeli police said a Palestinian man and woman were arrested to be investigated, who are Palestinian laborers working in Netanya illegally.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak issued a statement in which he said he regards this incident "with utmost severity," adding that the government under his command insists on combating terrorism.
