Iraqi opposition talks in Damascus

Leaders of each of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan led by Jalal al-Talebani, and the Higher Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, led by Muhammad Baqer al-Hakim on Sunday continued their talks with the Iraqi opposition which takes Damascus as a headquarters, to "unify efforts of the Iraqi opposition" through convening a plenary conference in al-Suleimaneh.
Several days earlier, Ibrahim Hamoudi from the Higher Council, Sheirdal from PUK and Sheikh Hassan al-Husseini from the Islamic Labor Organization, which is aligned with the Higher Council and formed with the representatives of the Council with the objective of making contacts with Syrian officials, Iranian diplomats and Iraqi opposition forces.
