Lebanese resistance operations against occupation forces

As a result of the operations carried out by the Lebanese resistance against the Israeli occupation troops and their militia allies' positions and centers, a state of fear and disorder is prevailing among the ranks of the Israeli army and their South Lebanon Army militia allies, reports said.

News reports from south Lebanon spoke about violent confrontations that took place between the Israeli military patrols and those of the SLA militia, which resulted in several casualties among wounded or killed.

The Israeli Army Radio said the commander of the Israeli forces in south Lebanon strongly criticized the commanders of the military units in south Lebanon because they could not, so far, eliminate the state of fear and unrest over the possibility of confrontations with Lebanese resistance members.

The news reports added that the Israeli army units' commanders in south Lebanon have expressed their feelings of fear by opening fire randomly. The Lebanese resistance on Sunday attacked the Israeli-SLA joint position in the Sujoud area. In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said the resistance forces used missiles and anti-tank guns against the military position and that direct hits were achieved.

Meanwhile, Lebanese security sources said the Israeli forces bombarded the western sector area and the hills of al-Tuffah district in south Lebanon.

The sources added that Israel's heavy artillery pounded using 155 mm caliber shells the towns of Majdal Zoune, Jib Sweid, Hadatha, Ein al-Jabal, Barachit, Tibnin and Jabal al-Zaatar. The Israeli shelling coincided with heavy machine gun fire by the Israeli forces against hilly passages and some areas surrounding the forces.

Populated areas located between the towns of Jarjou and Houmin al-Faouka also came under Israeli bombardment, the Lebanese sources continued.

Further reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli warplanes carried out mock and provocative raids at low altitude over the western and central sectors as well as the al-Nabatieh and al-Tuffah districts. The Lebanese army and resistance anti-aircraft guns fired on the raiding Israeli planes, the Lebanese sources said.
