Egypt participates in establishing five sugar factories in Iran

Akbar Kasemi, the head of bureau dealing with Iranian interests in Cairo, said today to ArabicNews.com that Egypt had agreed to finance the establishment of five sugar factories in the Iranian Khorasan at a cost of $1.049 billion.
He added that there are 50 Egyptian experts who already headed to Iran to start the executive steps for this project and that there are many bilateral projects between Egypt and Iran that include manufacturing an Egyptian - Iranian car that depends on Iranian components to be assembled in Egypt.
He also referred to 300 Iranian businessman that want to cooperate with the Egyptian Businessmen's Association and organizations to raise the volume of commercial exchange between the two countries to reach $75 million, despite the diplomatic situation between Cairo and Tehran since the Islamic revolution since 20 years ago.
