UK commercial delegations to visit Egypt at the beginning of next year
Egypt-UK, Economics, 11/6/1999
UK commercial missions will visit Egypt at the beginning of coming year to discuss the special arrangements for establishing the free trade zone between the two countries.
The UK delegations will hold discussions with high-ranking Egyptian officials like Prime Minister Atef Ebeid, Economy Minister Yousef Butros Ghali, and the head of the investment organization for determining the goods exchanged between the two countries, which will submit to the works of the free trade agreement with means to remove the UK's reservations on importing Egyptian goods.
Meanwhile, Butros Ghali is leading a 100-member Egyptian economic delegation to Britain tomorrow to promote Egyptian products and learn about new British technology. The delegation's visit will run through November 12.
"The team will commence its activities in London with the holding of an exhibition along with a series of appointments among businessmen from both sides," said David Raider, a commercial attache at the British embassy in Cairo.
