Gulf states to have a unified radar and communication systems

The defense ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states will convene on November 17 on the margins of the aviation fair that will be held in Dubai on November 14 - 18.
The defense ministers discussed during their last meeting in Riyadh last year the reflections of the crisis between Iraq and the UN on the armament in the GCC countries, as well as elements of the joint military force "Shield of Jezira."
The ministers ratified another two defense drafts, the first of which is to create a system for wire and wireless communications that links the general headquarters of the six countries' armies at a cost of $70 million, while the other draft calls for uniting the radar networks of the Gulf Cooperation Council states at a cost of $88 million.
