Algerian party leaders denounce normalization with Israel
Algeria, Politics, 11/5/1999

The leadership of political movements and parties in Algeria held a political meeting yesterday to condemn normalization of relations with Israel, which started with an exchange of diplomatic representation between Mauritania and Tel Aviv.

In the meeting, the Hamas movement, El-Nahda movement, El-Wafa, Ahmed Taleb El-Ibrahimi and El-Islah El-Watani (Abdullah Gabllah) participated, in addition to other Algerian factional personalities.

Mewanwhile, Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika received numerous messages from Arab leaders on the 45th anniversary of the Algerian liberation revolution, which is historically known as the "revolution of a million martyrs."

The messages included a message from King Mohammed VI of Morocco, in which he expressed his hope that the Algerian president can achieve more peace, unity and security for his people.
