Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak made a phone call to the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah Bin Hussein that tackled the developments in the area and the trilateral summit between US President Bill Clinton, Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

A Dutch expedition in Syria has discovered a residential complex that dates back to the new stone age in the seventh millennium BC.
