Morocco's solidarity campaign picking up

The nationwide solidarity campaign in favor of the poorest layers of Moroccan society launched Monday by King Mohammed VI is gaining momentum by the day with a growing number of moves and undertakings in the kingdom and even abroad.
Movie theater owners announced that all earnings on Nov 5 will go the solidarity fund, and the Moroccan cinema board (CCM) issued a release inviting moviegoers to go en masse see pictures on to give more substance to the move.
The national dental association said all dental clinics will be providing on November 9 free consultations all over the country as a contribution to the campaign.
The Moroccan legal studies center will pitch in part of revenues generated by book sales.
A voluntary medical team at the heart and vascular department of Rabat Ibn Sina Hospital performed for free a surgical heart operation on a 14 year-old girl to be followed by other patients.
The pharmaceutical Eli Lilly group donated a batch of 5,000 insulin bottles.
In Paris, Ambassador Hassan Abouyoub chaired a meeting of Moroccan businessmen and bankers settled in france to plan action and organize collecting of funds and donations.
