Interior minister: 1,165 terrorists have declared repentance in Algeria

Algerian Minister of Interior Abdelmalek Sellal said the number of those who surrendered from the armed elements reached 1,165 persons till now, among which are 83 who came back from abroad.
In declarations yesterday Sellal said that figures must be read with its dimensions and its true significance, clarifying that civil rapport could not be achieved in a few days and stating that the law itself gives a six-month period that will end on January 13, 2000 for all the people concerned, with the guarantees and procedures it contains, which means giving the necessary time for reaching the countries' message already to all the concerned persons to comprehend the verdicts and the guarantees.
