Arab League urges Russia to reach immediate solution with the Chechens

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid informed the Russian government of the importance of finding a political solution immediately for the Russian war against the province of Chechnya, saying that a war against the people is not against terrorism. This came during the meeting between the Abdul Meguid and the minister of nationalism in the Russian government, Ramadan Abd El-Lateebov, in AL headquarters, as Abdul Meguid asserted to the Russian official the importance of differentiating between terrorism, extremism and Islam and that there is no relation between terrorism and Islam, for it is a religion of tolerance.
