Al-Assad gets message from Saudi crown prince, phone call from King Abdullah

Syrian President Hafez al-Assad met on Thursday in Damascus with the deputy chairman of the Saudi National Guard, Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Tweijari.
Sheikh al-Tweijari conveyed a message to President al-Assad from Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz concerning "Arab and regional developments and bilateral relations."
Talks dealt with recent developments in the region and bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, President al-Assad on Thursday received a telephone call from Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein, during which talks dealt with the "current status of the peace process and the need to resume it from the point at which it broke off."
Talks also dealt with bilateral relations and means of boosting them in all areas.
