Tunisian president renews attachment to Maghreban Union

Tunisian President Zine Al-Abidine Ben Ali has renewed his country's attachment to a strong and integrated Arab Maghreb Union (UMA).
This came in a message of thanks President Ben Ali sent King Mohammed VI in answer to the king's congratulations message following the Tunisian President's reelection.
"I reiterate our unshakable will to continue on this path with you and with all our brothers in the Maghreb region with a view to fulfilling our peoples' aspirations to integration, solidarity and joint prosperity," Ben Ali said.
Morocco and Tunisia are both members of the UMA together with Algeria, Libya and Mauritania.
The Tunisian president also lauded the strong ties of cooperation and brotherhood binding Morocco and Tunisia.
